A U G U S T  28TH is a choreopoem that delves into the layers of identity, memory, and resilience within the Black diaspora, examining how America, family, friendship, and love shape the evolution of our past, present, and future.
This show asks: how do our bodies hold trauma, 
and how do we (Black folk) stop requiring excellence in exchange for joy?
